Question:

Is a nose piercing forbidden (for a female)? If so, why?  Also, what piercings are acceptable?

Answer:

If a nose piercing is considered a form of beautification according to the custom of your society than this is not allowed. The proof is the quranic ayah ordering women not to make apparent their beauty. Piercing in parts of the body which are usually covered are not haram if they do not cause harm to the body.
