Question:

What should one do when he knows his heart has become corrupt and dead? What should one do for his heart to become alive again?

Answer:

Strengthen your corrupted heart with daily Salaat, perform the Salaat on its time. Allah (s.w.t) says in the Holy Quran “Indeed the prayer (Salaat) stops abominations and abnegations.”

Reinforce your faith with Istigfar (asking forgiveness from Allah), it will make you submit your self to the commands of Allah.

Inshallah with your love towards Allah, the Holy Prophet and his Ahlul Bayt, Allah will protect you from all corruptions.
