Would it be classified as cheating the system if one prepares receipts to lower company tax? Also, my business partner wanted to put me and herself on wages to lower the amount of company tax paid? Is that acceptable?

Answer:

This is a question you should really ask your accountant. Basically, if it is tax evasion then its impermissble, but if it is tax planning then it’s fine.
